What babypump is
A launchpad on pump.fun where every coin is the kid of two existing coins, its parents. Fartcoin × Buttcoin, two dog coins, a stock and a meme: any two Solana tokens with a real market. The kid trades on pump.fun like any other coin. What is different is where its tax goes and who gets it.
The kid's creator is not a person. It is a fresh wallet the engine controls: the kid's vault. Every trade pays the kid's tax into that wallet, and every 3 min the vault spends it: 70% buys the two parents and keeps them, 20% buys the kid back and burns it, 10% goes to the platform.
The parents sitting in the vault belong to the kid's holders, but not to all of them and not equally: they go to the wallets that hold. No rights before 1h; the longer a wallet holds, the bigger its multiplier; the moment it sells, it starts over and forfeits whatever it had not claimed.
The cycle
One global clock. Every 3 min every live kid runs, a few at a time:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Claim | 100% of the kid's unclaimed creator fee ($PUMP, bonding curve vault + PumpSwap vault) moves into the vault wallet. |
| Split | The pot (what the wallet holds minus what earlier cycles already set aside) is split 70% / 20% / 10%. |
| Kid buy | 20% → one buy of the kid on its bonding curve (PumpSwap once graduated), burned in the same cycle. |
| Parent buys | 35% → one Jupiter buy of parent A; 35% → one of parent B. What lands stays in the vault and joins its pool. A buy that fails keeps its share as owed and retries next cycle. |
| Platform | 10% transferred in $PUMP. |
A pot under the minimum waits for the next cycle. The vault wallet pays its own network fees; when its SOL runs low, a small slice of the tax is swapped to SOL so the cycles never stop.
Tenure
Every 5 minutes the engine reads every token account of every kid straight from the chain and folds them per wallet. Three things are tracked per wallet:
- Streak — when the position started. A wallet that appears starts one. A balance that goes down ends it and starts a new one (see forfeits).
- Low-water mark — the smallest balance the wallet held across the last 24h (hourly buckets). Buying more only counts once the whole window has seen it; selling any amount counts immediately.
- Stage — the age of the streak, in steps:
| Stage | Streak age | Multiplier |
|---|
Weight = low-water mark × multiplier, and only when the streak is at least 24h old, the low-water mark is at least 0.05% of the supply, and the position is under 10% of the supply (the bonding curve, the PumpSwap pool and the vault itself are excluded outright; whales at or over the cap are treated as pools). A Newborn has no weight and no rights.
Payouts
Every 6h, on one global clock, each kid's pool (the parents the vault bought that nobody owns yet) is split among its eligible holders in proportion to weight and written to each wallet's accrued balance. Nothing moves on chain at this point; the tokens stay in the vault until claimed. A kid with no eligible holders rolls its pool over to the next epoch. Parents sent to the vault wallet from outside join the pool at the next epoch.
Claims
Open the kid's page, connect the wallet that holds, and press Claim. The server builds one transaction: create your parent token accounts if they do not exist yet, transfer both parents from the vault to you, and a small SOL transfer from you to the vault that repays exactly the rent and the network fee. The vault signs first; you sign in your wallet; the server sends it. While a claim is pending its amount is locked; if it is never sent, the lock expires after 2 minutes.
Claiming does not touch your streak. Claimed tokens are yours; the kid does not care what you do with them.
Forfeits
A scan that finds a wallet's balance lower than the last scan counts it as a sale (a transfer to another wallet counts too). The streak restarts as Newborn, and everything the wallet had accrued and not claimed goes back to the kid's pool, where the next epoch hands it to the holders who stayed. Claimed tokens are never taken back. Claim often if you plan to sell.
Making a baby
- Connect a Solana wallet. It receives your dev buy and nothing else; it never controls the kid.
- Pick two parents: search by name or ticker, or paste a mint. The two must be different, both need a real market (Jupiter price, liquidity, holders), and neither can be $PUMP or SOL.
- Name the kid, drop an image, optionally add socials and a dev buy in SOL (swapped to $PUMP, bought right after the create, sent to your wallet).
- Send the SOL shown to the kid's fresh vault wallet. The launch fires the moment it lands: metadata to pump.fun's IPFS,
create_v2paired with $PUMP carrying the 2% tax, dev buy, done. What is left in SOL stays as the vault's gas reserve.
A launch that fails refunds the deposit. The tax and the parents are fixed at launch and cannot be changed.
Choosing parents
The vault buys the parents on the open market every cycle, for as long as the kid trades. Pick parents with real liquidity (the buys route through Jupiter; a parent with no route keeps its share as owed until it has one) and, ideally, communities that would like to know a coin is buying them every 3 min. The kid's page shows every parent buy with its transaction.
Verify it yourself
Every kid's page links its vault wallet on Solscan: the claims, the parent buys, the burns and every holder's claim transaction are there. The API behind every page is public: /api/stats, /api/tokens, /api/t/<mint>, /api/t/<mint>/holders, /api/t/<mint>/wallet/<wallet>, /api/t/<mint>/epochs, /api/t/<mint>/claims, /api/t/<mint>/forfeits.
FAQ
Can the platform take the vault? The vault wallets are custodial, held by the engine with their keys encrypted at rest. Every movement out of a vault is on chain: parent buys, burns, platform share, and claims signed by the holder. Nothing else leaves.
What if I hold in two wallets? Each wallet is scored on its own. Moving tokens between them is a sale for the sender and a new streak for the receiver.
Does buying more help? After 24h, yes: the low-water mark catches up once the whole window has seen the new balance. The stage does not reset on a buy.
What is the kid buy for? 20% of every pot buys the kid back and burns it, so the supply only ever goes down while the vault only ever fills up.
Is the payout in the kid? No. It is in the parents: two different coins you would hold anyway, bought on the open market by the kid's own trading.
